Bernstine, Kail Urge Governor to Explore Use of Ellwood City Hospital

WHAT: Reps. Aaron Bernstine (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence) and Joshua Kail (R-Beaver/Washington) will hold a Facebook press conference after drafting a letter to Gov. Tom Wolf and asking him to issue an executive order to use potential assets of the former Ellwood City Hospital due to the coronavirus crisis. The facility closed its emergency department in December 2019 for numerous safety violations. Months later, the parent company shut down the entire hospital and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Bernstine Temporarily Halts In-Person Visits to Ellwood City Office, Cancels March Event

ELLWOOD CITY – To protect the health and safety of the community and office staff, Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence) today announced his Ellwood City office will be temporarily closed to walk-in visitors. Bernstine Announces Work to Begin to Restore Hereford Manor Lake

FRANKLIN TWP. – Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence) announced today that the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission will move forward immediately with the initial geotechnical study to restore Hereford Manor Lake, which was drained in 2012. Bernstine has secured $150,000 for the study, which is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
