Reminder: Bernstine to Host Free Shredding Event THIS SATURDAY

HARRISBURG – Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Butler/Lawrence) is reminding residents he will be hosting a free shredding event on Saturday, Oct. 17. The event offers individuals and families a convenient opportunity to securely clean out old paperwork and guard their personal information.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at the Forward Township Municipal Building, 207 Ash Stop Road, Evans City.
“I want to make it easier for residents to take care of everyday tasks that can sometimes get put off,” said Bernstine. “This event provides a convenient, no-cost way to clear out unwanted paperwork and help keep sensitive documents out of the wrong hands.”

This event is intended for paper items containing personal information such as Social Security numbers, bank account details or medical records. Residents are asked not to bring items like phone books, magazines, junk mail, newspapers or cardboard. Staples and paper clips do not need to be removed, but documents should be taken out of binders or notebooks.
