Mustello, Bernstine Announce Transportation Improvements for Butler County

December 29, 2025

BUTLER COUNTY – Reps. Marci Mustello (R-Butler) and Aaron Bernstine (R-Butler/Lawrence) today announced nearly $2.6 million in state funding has been awarded for transportation infrastructure improvements in Butler County through the Multimodal Transportation Fund.

The funding will support the rehabilitation of five bridges currently rated in poor condition in Penn and Jefferson townships, helping to improve safety, reliability and mobility for residents, businesses and emergency responders.

“Safe and reliable infrastructure is essential for our communities,” said Mustello. “This funding will allow critical bridge repairs to move forward in Butler County, addressing long-standing needs while improving safety for motorists and supporting local economic activity.”

“These projects represent smart, targeted investments that will have a real impact for Butler County residents,” said Bernstine. “Rehabilitating these bridges will help ensure people can travel safely and efficiently, while also supporting commerce and access to essential services throughout our communities.”

The funding comes from the Multimodal Transportation Fund under the Commonwealth Financing Authority, which is responsible for administering the state’s economic development programs. The fund provides grants to support projects that improve transportation safety, promote economic development, and enhance the quality of life for residents across Pennsylvania.
