Bernstine Votes No on State Budget
November 20, 2020
HARRISBURG – Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence) today voted in the negative on the state’s $32.1 billion budget. However, Bernstine’s House colleagues passed the General Appropriations bill by a 104-97 vote.
The Representative made the following statement:
“Today, while many Pennsylvania families and local small businesses are struggling to make ends meet, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives voted to increase the year-over-year budget spending by 3.8 percent. This is a disgrace to the hard-working people of our Commonwealth and it is not what people sent us to Harrisburg to do. While Harrisburg politicians continue to mislead and play games with numbers, the truth is, they voted to spend more of your money.”
